Educational qualification / கல்வித் தகுதி
- Technical Assistant: First class Diploma (minimum 3 years) in the relevant engineering branch
- Scientific Assistant: First class B.Sc. with Physics main and Mathematics & Chemistry ancillary, or first class Bachelor of Fine Arts (Photography) / Visual Arts (Cinematography)
- Library Assistant ‘A’: Graduation in first class and first class Master’s degree in Library Science / Library & Information Science
- Nurse ‘B’: First class Diploma in Nursing (minimum 3 years), registered with the State Nursing Council
- Technician ‘B’ / Draughtsman ‘B’: SSLC / SSC pass + ITI / NTC / NAC in the trade from NCVT (Boiler Attendant: NAC + first class Boiler Attendant certificate)
- Fireman ‘A’: SSLC / 10th pass and the prescribed physical fitness and endurance standards
- Light Vehicle Driver ‘A’: 10th pass, 3 years experience as Light Vehicle Driver and a valid LVD licence
- Heavy Vehicle Driver ‘A’: 10th pass, 5 years driving experience (minimum 3 years as Heavy Vehicle Driver), HVD licence and Public Service Badge
- Multi Tasking Staff: Matriculation / SSLC / SSC pass
