The Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) have published Centralised Employment Notice (CEN) No. 08/2026 for recruitment of Station Master in Level 6 of the 7th CPC Pay Matrix in various Zonal Railways. The total vacancies for all RRBs are 1265 (Corrigendum No. 1 corrected the figure from 1215 to 1265). A candidate can apply to only one RRB, and the choice of RRB once made is final.

Educational qualification / கல்வித் தகுதி
- Graduate degree from a recognised University or its equivalent
- The qualification must be held on the last date of online application (25-11-2026); candidates awaiting final results should not apply
- Medical standard: A-2
Age limit / வயது வரம்பு
- 20 to 33 years as on 01-01-2027 (for UR/EWS, date of birth between 02-01-1994 and 01-01-2007)
- Upper age relaxation: OBC-NCL 3 years, SC/ST 5 years; other categories as per the notification

- Single stage Computer Based Test (CBT): 100 questions, 120 minutes, 1/3 mark deducted for each wrong answer
