The Supreme Court of India has released Advertisement No. F.6/11/CM(S)/2026-SC (RC) dated 15-10-2026 inviting online applications from Indian citizens for preparing a panel to fill 20 tentative vacancies of Court Master (Shorthand), a gazetted post in Level 11 of the Pay Matrix in the Registry of the Supreme Court, by direct recruitment. Eligibility is counted as on 01-10-2026.

- Knowledge of computer operation with a typing speed of 40 words per minute
- Experience: minimum 5 years regular service as Private Secretary / Senior PA / PA / Senior Stenographer in Government / PSU / statutory bodies

- 30 to 45 years as on 01-10-2026
- Age relaxation for SC / ST / OBC (NCL) / ex-servicemen as per Government of India rules; up to 5 more years for dependants of freedom fighters
